Visit the imprisoned and clothe the naked.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Fort Wayne incorporates two corporal works of mercy "To clothe the naked" and "to visit the imprisoned" into its jail ministry. Allen county inmates are not allowed to bring underwear into the jail. They must buy them from the commissary. Unfortunately, many cannot afford to buy underwear so the jail ministry supplies them. Over 1,200 people are helped by the jail ministry per year.
